API Oauth 404 error?
Hello.
I am working on a bot for personal use.
When I try to go to: https://api.gamewisp.com/pub/v1/oauth/token (as the documentation states to do) in order to get my access token, I'm receiving a 404 error.
That endpoint is meant to be accessed via POST. Are you using a GET instead? That will lead to a 404.
I am simply using my browser. It worked for Twitch API and https://api.gamewisp.com/pub/v1/oauth/authorize. I am not experienced with PHP, Javascript, or anything of the sort. I am just barely beginning to learn Python.
It won't work in your browser because that endpoint only responds to POSTs. If you react to get a valid response back use a tool like Postman (you can download it for free) to send a POST to that endpoint.
Ok. So I installed Postman (Google showed me the Chrome App).
I am sure I am doing this correctly. I am now instead getting:

I am 100% sure I am doing everything correct, as I am literally copy-pasting my client id, secret, and uri from Gamewisp, and the response code from the URL...
I have tried deleted my app and re-making it and going through the process again just to make sure, and still getting the same error.
Ok... I have remade my app 3 times now, making sure to delete any previous apps and authorizations I had... every single time I am very carefully following the documentation and directly copying/pasting the necessary info to make sure there is no mis-typing...
Every single time I'm getting Client authentication failed.
I do not see how I could be going wrong...
Never mind.
I solved the issue...
I was copying the redirect url as my IP without http://, as it worked for the /authorize endpoint... apparently /token required http:// be present in the redirect uri in order to work.

Yes. The redirect url issue is a common sticking point with people incorporating OAuth2 flows. As you discovered, the redirect url must match exactly to what you provided when you created the client.
